Learn in the UK, lead at home, shape the world.
Chevening is the UK Government’s prestigious international scholarships programme.
Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and partner organisations, we offer exceptional future leaders the opportunity to further their education in the UK, so that they can drive impact in areas of shared priority for the UK and their home countries.
At a time of unprecedented global challenges, the Chevening network offers a real cause for hope. Our community of leaders and decision-makers is already making a measurable impact in areas like climate action, economic prosperity, and conflict recovery.

If you’re ready to join a global network of leaders working with the UK to shape a more resilient, prosperous, and sustainable future, explore our applicant resources.
To apply, you will need:
Did you know: Chevening partners offer additional awards and every year, some of these awards go unfilled. With fewer applicants competing for these awards, applying for partner awards may increase your chances for selected.
UK visa: There are no UK visa processing centres available in this country. However, VFS Global’s On Demand Mobile Visa service is available in Guatemala City. If your application is successful you may be required to travel to an alternative country to apply for your UK visa or alternatively utilise the VFS service to process your application locally. Applicants will be expected to meet all costs associated with travelling to an alternative country; however scholars may be eligible for a discretionary reimbursement of some travel costs. You will receive further information on what reimbursements are available to you should you be selected for a Chevening Scholarship.
